Abstract
AIM:The purpose is to investigate the preventive and therapeutic effects of amygdalin on gastric ulcer in experimental models. METHOD:The models of restraint-cold stress gastric ulcer in mice, acetic acid impaired gastric ulcer in rats and pyloric ligation gastric ulcer were established.RESULT:It was found that amygdalin inhibited the acute gastric mucosa injury induced by restraint-cold stress,as well as improved the healing process of chronic gastric ulcer by acetic acid in rats and inhabited the formation of gastric ulcer of rats induced by pylorus ligature. It reduced gastric secretion of pepsin.CONCLUSION:Amygdalin has significant effects on treating gastric ulcer.
