Evaluation of AIDS Related KAPR among Residents and Mobile Population in Kunming City

Objective To understand AIDS related knowledge,attitude,practice,and requirements among residents and mobile population by surveyed in 19 coun- ties( cities,districts) of Kunming City. Methods We used Cross - sectional survey method. Multi - stage stratified random sampling was used to sample survey subject. Results 1960 residents,1240 rural residents and 1200 mobile population were selected as respondents. The rate of understanding AIDS related knowledge,urban residents was 93. 0% ,rural residents was 89. 8% and mobile population was 85. 8% . AIDS patients whether could enjoy the same treatment as normal. Approver in urban residents was 46. 6% ,rural residents was 54. 6% and mobile population was 23. 5% . Willing to dine with AIDS patients,urban residents was 48. 8% ,rural residents was 61. 0% and mobile population was 26. 2% . Only about 20. 0% of the people could stick to use a condom every time,which happened sex outside marriage. Conclusion The rate of understanding AIDS related knowledge is high level in general population of Kunming. Urban residents are higher than rural residents. Rural resident is higher than mo- bile population. The discrimination atmosphere of AIDS patients,mobile population is stronger than residents.
