On Training of Teaching Ability of New University Teachers

With the rapid development of higher education in China, universities have employed a large number of new teachers who have higher degrees, high-level professional knowledge but limited teaching ability, which directly affect the quality of teaching in higher education. Therefore, universities should strengthen the pre-service training for new teachers, establish the perfect system of teaching guidance and the systems of teaching inspection, appraisal, competition and training, and meanwhile focus on the close connection of teaching and research to improve the teaching quality of higher education.
