On the Improvement of the System of China’s Rural Land Property in the Course of Building a New Socialist Countryside

In order to develop the rural economy,the Communist Party of China(CPC) and the State Council put forward the important strategy of building a new socialist countryside.To do a good job in building a new socialist countryside,the first and foremost task is to improve the system of rural land property right,and protect the lawful properties of peasants.Improving the system of rural land property right is conducive to protecting the quality of cultivated land,developing agricultural economies of scale,and developing a healthy rural land property market.There are many problems in the present system of collective land ownership.For example,it is hard for farmers to exercise collective ownership of rural land and the contractual right of land is not steady.Several viewpoints on improving the system of rural land property is analyzed in this paper.The nationalization of the land in which the long-time or even permanent right of land-use is bestowed on the farmers is considered as the best way for improving the system of rural land property.
