Baijie Zhenzhu Ointment on treating residual burn wound

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Baijie Zhenzhu Ointment on treating residual burn wound. Methods80 burn patients were randomly divided into 2 groups,with 40 patients in the treatment group and 40 others in the control group. Patients in the treatment group were treated with Baijie Zhenzhu Ointment( consisted of sanguis draconis,Centella asiatic,Angelica sinensis,golden cypress and so on),which was made by the Third People's Hospital of Wu Xi,while those in the control group were treated with Jingwanhong ointment. Observation concluded the wound healing rate and adverse reactions at different periods after the treatment. Results The wound healing rate of the treatment group is significantly higher than that of the control group on the seventh,fourteenth and twenty-first day after the treatment( P 0. 05). There are no obvious adverse reactions during the treatment in both of the groups. Conclusion To treat residual burn wound by using Baijie Zhenzhu Ointment can improve local blood circulation,reduce bacteria and toxins at burns wound,control infection effectively and promote wound healing,and there is no obvious adverse effect.
