Abstract

To establish a simple, sensitive and accurate analytical method for determining trace elements in water treatment chemicals, inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry(ICP-MS) method is applied to analyze and determine 3 kinds of poisonous elements,As,Pb and Cd,in poly aluminium chloride. The results show that the contents of As,Pb and Cd in solid sample(100 times dilution) are 2.07 μg/L,23.3 μg/L and 1.05 μg/L or 1.7 μg/L,12.6 μg/L,0.89 μg/L in liquid sample, and the accuracies of these test sample are 112%,92% and 99.6% in solid one and 106%,96% and 93% respectively in liquid one.It is found that the three elements in poly aluminium chloride can be simultaneously and quickly determined, with advantages of simplicity, little interference, accuracy, and so on.
