Abstract

Poll Dorset sheep,Borderdale sheep and Suffolk sheep were introduced to crossbreed local Mongolia sheep,F1 generation showed obvious heterosis.At the same feeding condition,average birth weight of F1 from Poll Dorset sheep ×Mongolia sheep increased by 24.6% compared with Mongolia sheep,body weight of 1-month,3-month and 6-month increased by 12.5%,16.1% and 13.3%,respectively.Average daily weight gain from birth to 6-month old increased by 12.0%.Average body height,length,heart girth and cannon circumference increased by 14.3%,17.1%,27.1% and 16.6%,respectively.Carcass weight and net meat increased by 29.92% and 37.82%,respectively.Average birth weight of F1 from Borderdale sheep ×Mongolia sheep increased by 22.2% compared with Mongolia sheep,body weight of 1-month,3-month and 6-month old increased by13.0%,23.3% and 15.3%,respectively.Average daily weight gain from birth to 6-month old increased by 14.5%.Average body height,length,heart girth and cannon circumference increased by 19.7%,19.7%,30.9% and 17.0%,respectively.Carcass weight and net meat increased by 33.88% and 43.17%,respectively.Average birth weight of F1 from Suffolk sheep ×Mongolia sheep increased by 21.3% compared with Mongolia sheep,body weight of 1-month,3-month and 6-month old increased by16.7%,15.2% and 11.6%,respectively.Average daily weight gain from birth to 6-month old increased by 10.4%.Average body height,length,heart girth and cannon circumference increased by 47.8%,33.5%,49.0% and 26.8%,respectively.Carcass weight and net meat increased by 31.04% and 42.02%,respectively.
