Abstract

Objective To evaluate the performance of Sysmex XE-2100 automated hematology analyzer to count nucleated red blood cell(NRBC).Methods Precision, linearity, carryover and stability were performed by assaying the high, middle, low NRBC samples. The results of 114 neonatal blood or umbilical cord blood samples measured by the Sysmex XE-2100 were compared with manual. Results The System XE-2100 results showed excellent precision linearity and stability. The specificity for NRBC was 76.7%,and sensitivity was 100%.The correlation was excellent between the System XE-2100 and manual(R2=0.997 8).Conclusion The performance of NRBC count using the Sysmex XE-2100 automated hematology analyzer is adequate for clinical demand.
