Abstract
Objective To study the correlation between macrovascular disease and C peptide level in patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods The clinical data of 252 patients with type 2 diabetes(T2DM) was retrospectively analyzed. These patients were divided into macrovascular disease group and control group,it was grouped according to the presence or absence of vascular lesions. The basic information, history, biochemical criterion including fasting glucose(FBG),postprandial glucose(PG),glycated hemoglobin(HbA1C),fasting C-peptide(FCP),postprandial C-peptide(PC),triglyceride(TG),cholesterol(TC),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),serum uric acid(UA) were analyzed. Results The results shows that Compared with the control group, the macroangiopathy group has the older age,the longer course and the lower FCP(P 0.01),the FBG,PBG,HbA1C and LDL-C are higher than the control group(P 0.05),but the HDL-C is lower(P 0.05),the PC differences are not statistically significant(P 0.05).The age, cigarette smoking,FBG are the independent risk factors in the macrovascular disease in patients with T2DM,while the HDL-C and FCare theprotect factors, which is showed by the logistic regression. Conclusion V ascular lesions were common complications in T2DM patients,C peptide may have a protective effect on the macrovascular disease in patients with T2DM.
