Abstract

Objective: To investigate the effect of the early rehabilitation exercise in the treatment and observation of cerebrovascular disease patients. To determine early rehabilitation is whether or not useful for physical reconstruction for cerebrovascular disease patients and whether or not necessary to be advocated in the medical courses of the cerebrovascular disease. Methods: Retrospective analysis of forty patients from the department of neurology in our hospital from June 2009 to March 2010 who were divided into two groups randomly, the treatment group and the control group, twenty patients for each group, patients in the control group received early rehabilitation exercise besides regular treatment. To grade the Barthel index(ADL) of all patients before and after the treatments. Results: The outcome of rehabilitation treatment group compared before and after treatment were significantly different(P 0.01).The outcome of rehabilitation treatment group were significantly different(P0.01) compared with the control group. Conclusion: The early rehabilitation can improve the Barthel index significantly and can be very effective in the physical reconstruction for cerebrovascular disease patients,so early rehabilitation should be advocated and encouraged in the treatment for cerebrovascular disease patients.
