Abstract

Objective: To study the expression of CD 44V 6 in gastric cancer and the relationship between CD 44V 6 and gastric cancer infiltration and metastasis as well as explore its significance. Method: The expression of CD 44V 6 was detected in 52 gastric cancer tissues, 52 surrounding gastric cancer tissues and 10 normal gastric membranes by immumohistochemistry. Results: The positive CD 44V 6 expression rate in gastric cancer tissues was 59.6% (31/52), in surrounding gastric cancer tissues was 28.8% (15/52), and the contrast group was 10% (1/10).Statistical analysis proved that there are significant differences in CD 44V 6 expression between gastric cancer tissues and normal gastric membranes and surrounding gastric cancer tissues (P0.05). Conclusion: The abnormal expression of CD 44V 6 is associated with the infiltration and metastasis of gastric cancer, while the high expression of CD 44V 6 may help the clinical diagnosis of gastric cancer, help to screen the cancer with metastasis potential, and become a new index to predict the metastasis potential of cancer.
