Abstract
According to the scientific issues that need further research in the fields of water resources and socioeconomy in the construction and after the completion of South-to-North Water Diversion Project, the macroscopic configuration of water resources at the government level in the operating and management process of the first-stage of South-to-North Water Diversion Project and the relevant researches on the adapted management system and operating mechanism are highlighted. The problems concerning the water resources allocation in the receiving areas, the scheduling management procedures and regulatory mechanisms of water resources allocation as well as the pricing policies for the rational allocation of multiple water sources in the receiving areas are investigated. Some conclusions of the study are drawn.
