Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the clinical efficacy of azithromycin in the treatment of mycoplasma pneumonia in children.METHODS:240 cases of mycoplasma pneumonia in children in our hospital recent years were analyzed. In control group,120 children were treated with erythromycin;in treatment group,120 children were treated with azithromycin.RESULTS:In control group, total effective rate was 81.67%;in treatment group, total effective rate was 95.00% (χ2=5.18,P0.05).Defervescence time,Disappearance time of cough, and hospital stay in treatment group were lower than in control groups (P0.05).The occurrence rate of adverse reactions in treatment group was lower than in control group's (χ2=15.68%,P0.01).CONCLUSION:Azithromycin shows precise effect on mycoplasma pneumonia in Children with little adverse reactions and short treatment course.
