The clinical observation of Azithromycin treatment of children with mycoplasma pneumonia

Objective: To discuss the efficacy and safety of Azithromycin treatment of children with mycoplasma pneumonia. Methods: 182 cases of mycoplasma pneumonia were divided into Azithromycin treatment group (91 cases) and Erythromycin control group (91 cases), and the clinical efficacy between the two groups were compared. Results: The total effective rates of treatment group and control group were 96.70% and 94.50% respectively, and they showed no significant difference ( P 0.05). Adverse reactions of Azithromycin treatment group, such as gastrointestinal reaction, local intravenous pain and rash, were significantly lower than those of Erythromycin control group (P0.01). Conclusion: Azithromycin in the treatment of mycoplasma pneumonia in children is effective, less adverse reactions, it is worth promoting and applying in clinic.
