Abstract
Fastening bolts at valve on gas tower was cracked after used 6 months.The failure analysis of the bolt was made by chemical composition,hardness,microstrcture examination and macrostrcture,SEM,EDX analysis for the fracture.The results show that the stress crrosion,wich is duo to the less leaking of the crrosion media in tower,cause the fastening bolt of valve failure.
