Abstract
The fracture characteristics of bolt connecting the pedestal with slipway in a two-way moving slide valve was analyzed. The results show that chemical composition and microstructure of the fracture bolt were in normal state. The bolt was intergranular fracture with many origins. Work condition and force acting of the bolt were analyzed. The bolt failure was creep fracture mainly due to their high temperature work condition.
