Observing the effect of Radix notoginseng Rhizoma bletillae combined omeprazole clarithromycin on 70 cases gastric ulcer

Objective: To observe the therapeutic efficacy of Rhizoma Bletillae and Radix Notoginseng in treating gastric ulcer. Methods: The control group , 66 patients randomized from 136 patients with active gastric ulcer , were administered omeprazole 20mg in the morning and clarithromycin 250mg qid for 4 weeks . The combined treatment group , 70 patients on the basis of the above mentioned 2 drugs , powder of Rhizoma Bletillac 5.0g P.O tid and powder of Radix Notoginseng 5.0g P.O tid 30 minutes before three meals for 4 weeks . And then , to check the gastroscopy again . Result: The therapeutic efficacy of combined treatment group (94.3%) are much higher than that of control group (80.3%) P0.05 . Conclusions:Rhizoma Bletillae and Radix Notoginseng are helpful in protecting gastric mucosa against injury , and promoting the healing of ulcer .
