Abstract

Objective To study the effects of repeat use of radix et rhizoma salviae miltiorrhizae on healing time and relapse rate in patients with gastric ulcer. Methods 220 gastric ulcer patients during active period were randomly divided into two groups:radix et rhizoma salviae miltiorrhizae combining omeprazole treatment group and omeprazole treatment as control group. All patients were examined with gastroscope once per week and healing time was recorded. Results Average healing time in treatment group was shorter than that in control group, while the relapse rate of Gastric ulcer after 6 months was lower in treatment group than that in control group, and there was significant difference between two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Repeat use of radix et rhizoma salviae miltiorrhizee can shorten the healing time and decrease the relapse rate in patients with gastric ulcer.
