Rural Education in the Context of Hollowing out of Its Population:Challenges and Countermeasures

Urbanization of population and Hollowing out of rural population are the two parallel and irreversible trends in the process of modernization in China,which poses new challenges for the current rural education.There exist the following major problems: a loss of rural builders,the plight of rural cultural heritage,the unreasonable structure of rural education,the transferring of rural labor force and the education of the Left-behind Children.Therefore,it is necessary to propose some advice to meet these challenges,including establishing rural education system for coordinate development of urban and rural areas,establishing protection mechanism for rural migrant children's education,and reconstructing rural culture.
