Abstract

Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus(PRRSV) is a newer pathogen of pigs which has severely hazarded the industry of raising swine.In recently years,the structure and function of the genome of PRRSV have been clearly recognized.The kinds and structure of the viral proteins coded by genome and gene variation of PRRSV have been revealed step by step.These studies offer a scientific basis for the design of vaccine and the prevention and therapy of PRRS.
