Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical effect of montelukast in treating acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Method A total of 56 patients with acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease were randomly divided into control group and treatment group. The both groups were treated with conventional treatment while treatment groups were added montelukast for 7 days.Related auxiliary examination such as blood gas analysis and pulmonary function test were checked up after 3 days and 7 days. Results Seven days and later, the partial pressure of oxygen was higher and carbon dioxide partial pressure of tension was lower in treatment group than that in control group.Moreover,FEV1/FVC and FEV1% were also higher in treatment group than that in control group. Conclusions Montelukast can improve the pulmonary function in patients with acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
