Efficacy of montelukast on 80 patients with acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Abstract
Objective To explore the curative effect of montelukast on 80 patients with acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Methods 80 patients were randomly divided into control group and treatment group.Patients of the two groups received conventional treatment for two weeks,while treatment group were added montelukast.Blood gas analysis and pulmonary function test were checked up before treatment and after 14 days.Results After the treatment,the pulmonary function of the treatment group was better than that of control group(P0.05);But the blood gas analysis showed no significant difference compared with control group(P0.05).Conclusion Montelukast can improve the pulmonary function in patients with acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
