Observation on therapeutic effect of Yiqi Huoxue Method on early stage of diabetic nephropathy in the elderly

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Yiqi Huoxue for early stage diabetic nephropathy(DN) in the elderly. Methods:65 cases were divided into treatment group(34 cases) and control group(32 cases) randomly. Both groups were treated routine medication,the treatment group based on routine medication was added with Yiqi Huoxue Tang . The clinical effect and the changes of the urinary albumin excretion rate(UAER) ,urinary microglobulin(Uβ2-MG ) ,fasting blood glucose(FBG) ,parameters of hemorheology were observed after 8 weeks. Results:The total effective rate was 85.3% and 65.7% in treatment group and control group respectively(P0.05) .In treatment group,the UAER,Uβ2-MG,FBG,parameters of hemorheology were markedly decreased after treatment in comparison with before treatment and control group,the difference between treatment group and control group showed markedly significance(P0.05 or P0.01) . Conclusion:The routine medication added with Yiqi Huoxue for early stage DN in the elderly is superior to routine therapy.
