Clinical research on correlation between C-reactive protein and peripheral vascular complications in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

[Objective]To explore the correlation between level of C-reactive protein(CRP) and macrovascular and microvascular complications in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM),research the relationship between CRP and metabolism of blood glucose and blood lipid.[Methods]90 cases of T2DM were collected from the Affiliated People's Hospital of Inner Mongolia Medical College,including 30 T2DM cases without peripheral vascular complications,30 T2DM cases with macrovascular disease and 30 T2DM cases with microvascular disease.The levels of CRP,blood glucose and blood lipid of all cases were measured and analyzed.[Results]The CRP level of T2DM group was significantly higher than that of the control group(t=2.12,P0.05).The CRP level of T2DM with vascular complications group was significantly higher than that of the control group and T2DM without vascular complications group.The levels of cholesterol,triglyceride,low density lipoprotein cholesterin were positively correlated with CRP level(r=0.462,0.535,0.634,all P0.01),while the level of high density lipoprotein cholesterin was negatively correlated with CRP level(r=-0.412,P0.05).[Conclusion]CRP is associated with the peripheral vascular complications in patients with T2DM,and the elevated CRP is related to the lipid metabolism disorder in patients with T2DM.
