DP finish of cotton fabric with the combination of citric acid and hydrolyzed starch

Abstract

DP finish of cotton fabric was carried out with citric acid and hydrolyzed starch,factors exerting influence on finishing results were discussed,such as hydrolyzing time of starch,concentrations of hydrolyzed starch, citric acid and sodium hypophosphite, as well as curing conditions. The results showed that the optimum conditions for DP finish were hydrolyzed starch 30g/L,citric acid 7%,sodium hypophosphite 6%,triethanol amine 3%,JFC 2 mL/L,cured at 180℃ for 90～120 seconds. Finished cotton fabric featured durable washing fastness.
