Abstract

Formaldehyde-free anti-crease finish is carried out on cotton fabric with 1,2,3,4-butanetetracarboxylic acid(BTCA),citric acid(CA) and hydrolyzed starch.Factors exerting influence on finishing results are discussed, such as dosage of starch, polycarboxylic acid, sodium hypophosphite and triethanolamine, mole ratio of BTCA to CA,curing temperature and curing time. The results show that the optimum process of anti-crease finish is starch 2%,mole ratio of BTCA to CA 1∶3,polycarboxylic acid 7%,sodium hypophosphite 6%,triethanolamine 2%,JFC 2 mL/L,curing at 180 ℃ for 90 s.Wet crease recovery angle of the finished fabric has increased to 266.5°from 175.1°,breaking strength retention rate decreased, whiteness reduced lightly, washability is good. The finish has influence on K/S value of dyed cotton fabric, but has no effect on color fastness.
