Results Analysis of Measles Supplementary Immunization in Children Under 15 years Old in Inner Mongolia province

Objective To analyze the Measles supplementary immunization activities in Inner Mongolia province to reduce measles cases in a plan to eliminate measles.The field investigation reports during measles supplementary immunization activities,assessment report and National communicable diseases reporting system were comprehensively analyzed.Method All 8-month-old to 14-year-old children were immunized a measles vaccine,each dose 0.5ml;Results Totally of 3086839 children were immunized,both reported and survey coverage were over 97%.Measles cases decreased remarkably after measles supplementary immunization.Incidence rate of only 5.84/100000,a strong pre-immunization of decreased incidence of 9.82/100000 40.53%.According to the reported measles dates of April 2008 ～March 2009,58% of the reported cases are children aged 8month-14 years old,85% had no immunization record or not clear.Conclusions High qualified measles supplementary immunization can remarkably reduce measles virus,and a full coverage to get a protective wall against measles virus.
