Results analysis of measles supplementary immunization in children under 15 years old in Qinghai province

objectiveTo analyze the Measles supplementaryimmunization activities in Qinghai province to reduce measles cases in a short time,and make a plan to eleminate measles.The field investigation reports during measles supplementaryimmunization activities,assessment report and National communicablediseases reporting system were comprehensively analyzed.Totally of 1100315 children were immunized,both reported and survey coverage were over 95%.Measles cases decreased remarkably after measles supplementaryimmunization,with one-third of the reported cases are rubella.according to the reported measles datas of July-December 2006,88% of the reported cases are children aged 8month-14 years old,32% had no immunization record or not clear.High qualified measles supplementaryimmunization can remarkably reduce measles cases in a short time,target children need to be exact,and a full coverageto get a protective wall against measles virus.The coverage must reach over 95%,and get prepared to the AEFIs.follow-up campaignafter 3-4 years shouldbe considered and improve routine coverage in Qinghai province.
