Abstract
Objective To understand field investigation and evaluation results before and after measles supplementary immunization in Inner Mongolia province, and analyze the epidemic data of measles monitoring system and infectious disease reporting system.Method All 8-month-old to 4-year-old children were immunized a measles vaccine, each dose 0.5ml.Results Totally of 903 926 children were immunized, both reported and surveyed inoculation rate were over 97%.Measles cases decreased remarkably at 2010 and the incidence rate was only 2.83/100 000,it descended 53.07%than 2009(6.03/100 000).According to monitoring system, there were 205 cases in 8 months to 4 years old group in 2010.Compared to 2009,measles incidence rate was descent 46.61%,57.29% of the cases happened in 8 months to 14 years old,85.8% had no immunization records or not clear. The reported measles vaccinations incidence rate of adverse events following immunization(AEFI) was 3.42 per 100 000.Conclusions High quality of supplementary immunization was the important measures to control measles prevalence and lower incidence rate.In order to remain the achievements of measles supplementary immunization,we should improve routine immunization coverage rate, strengthen the checking institution of vaccination certificates of children who went to kindergartens and primary school, and replanting when need,at the same time developed the follow-up reinforcement immunization.
