Clinical Application of Improved Small Incision Surgery in the Thyroidectomy

Abstract

Objective: To explore clinical value of the improved small incision surgery in the thyroidectomy. Method: Selected 60 patients with thyroid surgery in our hospital from January to December 2012.The patients were divided into conventional traditional surgery group( 30 cases) and small incision surgery group( 30 cases) according to surgical methods. Compared the related indicators of patients in two groups during and after surgery,all the indicators include incision size,operation time,average blood loss,hospital stay, drainage,drainage time,the incidence of complications and anesthetic satisfaction. Result: 60 cases were operated successfully,the difference of two groups in incision size,operative time,and average blood loss was statistically singificant( P 0. 05). The incision size and average blood loss of the traditional surgery group were more than that of the small incision surgery group. The operative time of the traditional surgery group was less than that of the small incision surgery group.The difference of two groups of patients in hospital stay,drainage,drainage time,the incidence of complications was statistically significant( P 0.05).All the indicators above of the traditional surgery group were more than that of the small incision surgery group. The difference of two groups of patients in satisfaction of postoperative appearance was statistically significant( P 0.05).The small incision surgery group was higher than the traditional surgery group.Conclusion: The improved small incision surgery thyroidectomy has the advantage of smaller incision,smaller complication incidence,beautiful and high satisfaction,and worthy of further promotion.
