Abstract

Objective Investigate the feasibility and application value of thyroid surgery through a small incision of the neck in thyroid surgery.Method Retrospective analysis the clinical data of thyroid surgery patients, and divided into small incision improved surgical group and traditional group, postoperative data of the two groups were analyzed. Results Small incision improved surgical group in incision length, operative time, blood loss, hospital stay were significantly less than in conventional surgery group, postoperative complications was significantly lower than conventional surgery group, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusions The small incision modified thyroidectomy simplify the procedure, shorter operative time, reduce blood loss and postoperative complications, is an ideal way to treat thyroid disease.
