Abstract

Objective To study the clinical value of small incision thoracotomy. Methods Retrospective study the clinical data of 104 cases of patients with thoracotomy who hospitalized from July 2007 to December 2011.According to the type of surgery all the patients were divided into the axillary incision group and the conventional surgery group. The two groups of patients were compared with operative time, blood loss, incision length, postoperative complications, the incidence of postoperative pull out the chest tube and get out of bed time, and satisfaction of postoperative patient. Results The operative time of small incision surgery group(37.72±11.42min),intraoperative blood loss(50.52±32.31ml),incision length(6.11±1.02cm) were less than the conventional surgery group. There were no difference of postoperative disease incidence betweent the two groups(9.26% vs 12.00%).Pull out the chest tube postoperative(47.42 ± 9.42h) and ambulation time(63.21±12.41h) was less than the conventional surgery group.Postoperative followed-up showed that small incision surgery satisfaction(90.35%)was significantly higher than the conventional surgery group(72.28%).Conclusion The axillary small incision surgery surgery has some advantages compared to conventional. It recommends surgery refers to disease in patients with small incision surgery.
