Effects of Donkey-hide Glue Iron Oral Solution on Leukopenia Induced by Radiotherapy in Mice

Objective To observe the effects of Donkey-hide Glue Iron Oral Solution on mice leukopenia models induced by radiotherapy.Methods Mice leukopenia models were prepared by ~(60)Co-γ ray radiation and then treated with Donkey-hide Glue Iron Oral Solution.The levels of peripheral hemogram,thoracic gland index,spleen index,liver index,bone marrow karyocyte count were determined.Pathological sections of bone marrow karyocyte were observed.Results Donkey-hide Glue Iron Oral Solution could significantly raise the counts of white blood cell,red blood cell,liver index,and spleen index.The differences were statistically significant(P0.05 or P0.01).Donkey-hide Glue Iron Oral Solution could increase bone marrow karyocyte(P0.05 or P0.01).Conclusions Donkey-hide Glue Iron Oral Solution has apparent leukogenic and antianemic actions on ~(60)Co-γ ray induced leukopenia in mice.
