Abstract
Objective To study the relation between composite index of serum bilirubin and serum lipid variables and coronary heart disease. Methods A total of 80 patients who had undergone coronary angiography entered the study. They were dividied into two groups by their results of coronary angiography:1.CHD 2.Normal. We tested serum bilirubin(TBIL),cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),TC/(HDL-C+bilirubin),LDL-C/(HDL-C+bilirubin). Their relation were investigated. Results Serum bilirubin of CHD group is lower than normal group,Cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),TC/(HDL-C+bilirubin),LDL-C/(HDL-C+bilirubin) of CHD group is higher than normal group (P 0.05). Each of these bilirubin-containing ratio is risk factor of CHD. Conclusion We think over various lipid lipoprotein and TC/(HDL-C+bilirubin) ratio, LDL-C/(HDL-C+bilirubin) ratio together will improve the diagnosis of CHD.
