Experimental research on analgesia and anti-inflammation of Fuyanxiao-chongji

Aim: To observe the pharmacological effect of Fuyanxiaochongji on endometriosis. Methods: Fifty rats (or mice) were randomly allocated into experiment and control groups. Blank control group was treated with the same volume of 1 % CM-cellulose, positive control group was treated with aspirin(0. 2g/kg), experiment groups were treated with high dosage of Fuyanxiaochongji (20g/kg), moderate dosage (10g/kg), and low dosage (5g/kg), respectively. We used the methods that crotonic oil induced rat s ear swelling, plastic pipe induced rat's uterus swelling and having cotton ball granuloma to observe the anti-infalma-tion effect of Fuyanxiaochongji and the methods of twisting body and heat plate to observe the analgesic effect of Fuyanxiaochongji then the mechanism of analgesia was studied through observing the change of contents of prostatitis induced by Fuyanxiaochongji. Results: Compared to the blank control group, every high dosage group and all the moderate dosage groups of plastic pipe inducing rats' uterus swelling and twisting body all have extremely significant difference( P 0.01) ;all the moderate dosage groups of crotonic oil inducing rats' ear swelling, cotton ball granuloma, heat plate had significant difference ( P 0.05); all the high, moderate, low dosage groups of prostatitis levels in rat' s uterus had extremely significant differences ( P 0. 01). Conclusions: Fuyanxiaochongji has the effects that significantly restrain inflammatory tissue s proliferation and eliminate swelling and also have analgesic, anti-inlarnmatory effects.
