Abstract

Objective To investigate the soft and hard tissue changes in non-extraction treatment of AngelⅡclassⅡ division 2 malocclusion adolesconts. Methods 31 classⅡ division 2 case aged 10~13 years were treated with SWA without extractions.Cephalometrics analysis was performed before and after treatment. The soft and hard tissue measurements were included in the analysis. Results After treatment the lingually inclined maxillary incisors were corrected, the values of SNB increased and ANB decreased, indicating the length of mandible increased. The values of Ns-Sn-Pos angles decreased,FH-NS-Pg' angels increased and 2 angles increased, indicating the soft tissue profile improved. Conclusion In class Ⅱ division 2 malocclusion adolescent cases after the correction of lingually indined maxillary incisors, mandible will grow forward, soft tissue profile will improve esthetics.
