Abstract
Objective To investigate the soft and hard tissue changes of Angle ClassⅡdivision 1 patients after treated by FR-I appliance. Methods Ten ClassⅡdivision 1 cases aged 9~11years were included in the study.Cephalometrics analysis was performed before and after treatment.18 hard tissue and 15 soft tissue measurements were included in the analysis. Results After treatment with FR-I, the mean values of SNA,NP-FH,FH-Ns-Pg',S-N'-B',FH-LL,UL-LL,Z angles and lower lip thickness increased significantly; while that of ANB,NA-PA,Ns-Sn-Pos angles and OJ decreased significantly.Upper incisors retroclined and lower incisors proclined slightly. Conclusion FR-I appliacne can effectively induce forward movement of mandible and improved esthetics on soft tissue profile.
