Abstract
To cause aging,Wistar rats were given injections of D-galactose for 5 months. They were randomly divided in four groups, including model group、low-medication group、middle-medication group and high-medication group whose the content of serum MDA、liver MDA and the activity of SOD and GSH-Px were tested and compared.Experimental results showed that the content of serum MDA、liver MDA in the medication group were significantly decreased(P0.01),compared with model group. However, the activity of SOD and GSH-Px was significantly raised(P0.01).Therefore lutein can increase antioxidantive function of rat to stay D-galactose induced consenescence.
