Abstract
To Study the relation between plasma total homocystein(Hcy)and myocardial infraction(MI). Three group people were studied: 36 with myocardial infraction. 32 with stable angina(SA) and 38 non-coronary heart disease patients as control groups. The plasma levels of Hcy were measured in all subjects. The relating between Hcy and cigarette smoking, diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidmia. Patients with ≥50% stenosis in one of the three coronary vessel in coronary angiography were assigned to single group, patients with two and three coronary vessel stenosis were assigned to multiple-vessel group, and patients with 50% stenosis in one coronary vessel constitued the negative group. The data of conventional risk of CHD were analyzed with logistic regression. The level of Hcy in MI group and SA group were higher than that in the control group. MI group was higher than that in SA group. As to compare to the other risk factor of CHD, hyperomocysteinemion was higher risk factor. The level of Hcy in the positive group of coronary anginography was higher than that in the negative group. Multiple-vessel group was higher than single-vessle group. [Conclusion] Plasma Hcy leve is elevated in patients with MI. There is close relation between MI and hyperhomocysleinemia. Higher level of Hcy is associated with increased number of coronary arteries with stenosis.
