Abstract
Objective To analyze the clinical diagnostic value of β2-microglobulin(β2-MG) in kidney lesion after neonatal asphyxia by detecting the content of β2-MG in blood. Methods 30 newborns with severe neonatal asphyxia and 40 mild neonatal asphyxia were chosen as the observation group, and 20 healthy newborns as the control group. The radio-immunity assay was used to detect the content of β2-MG in blood.Blood urea nitrogen(BUN) and creatinine(Cr),the routine indices to evaluate renal function, were simultaneously measured as comparison. The data was analyzed with statistics software. Results Compared with healthy newborns, the levels of β2-MG,BUN and Cr in blood were significantly increased in neonatal asphyxia(P0.05),and the level of β2-MG was significantly higher in the newborns with severe asphyxia than mild asphyxia(P0.05),and the level of β2-MG increased more obviously(in 24 hours) than that of BUN and Cr in blood of newborns with asphyxia. Conclusion β2-MG is more appropriate to be used as the routine index to evaluate early kidney lesion after neonatal asphyxia.
