Phacoemulsification and IOL implantation in cataract complicated uveitis

Abstract

Objective To study the effects of phacoemulsification and IOL implantation in cataract complicated with uveitis. Method 38 eyes from 38 patients with cataract complicated with uveitis received phacoemulsification and IOL implantation. Results After 3 months follow-up, visual acuity was better than 0.5 in 31 eyes, 0.3-0.4 in 3 eyes, 0.1-0.2 in 2 eyes, less than 0.1 in 2 eyes. Conclusion In treating cataract complicated with uveitis with phacoemulsification and iol implantation, appropriate perioperative management helpstodecrease inflammationandgetbetterrecoverovisual acuity
