Abstract
ObjectiveTo develop an HPLC method for determination of ursolic acid and oleanolic acid in sanguisorba officinalis L.MethodsUrsolic acid and oleanolic acid was separated and analyzed on Nova-Pak C18 column(3.9 mm×300 mm,4 μm) with methanol-water(88:12) as mobile phase at flow rate of 0.8 ml/min.UV detection was at 210 nm and the column temperature was 25℃.ResultsAn average recovery of 99.73% was obtained with a RSD of 1.5% in the range of 0.106 2~1.593μg for ursolic acid.An average recovery of 97.59% was obtained with a RSD of 1.7% in the range of 0.040 6~0.609 μg for oleanolic acid. Conclusion The method was proved to be stable, fast, accurate and can be used for determination of ursolic acid and oleanolic acid in sanguisorba officinalis L..
