Clinical Observation of "Chaishao Liujunzi Decoction" in Treating Chronic Atrophic Gastritis of Spleen Deficiency and Liver Depression

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Chaishao Liujunzi Decoction in the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG) of spleen deficiency and liver depression.Methods Seventy subjects were randomly divided into two groups: treatment group in which 40 subjects were treated with Chaishao Liujunzi Decoction and control group in which 30 cases were treated with Weifuchun,with a course of six months.Results The total effective rate was 82.50% in treatment group and 66.67% in control group(P0.05);the clinical effects,atrophy and intestinal metaplasia of gastric mucosa were improved more significantly in treatment group than in control group(P0.05);but there was no significant difference between the two groups in heterotypic hyperplasia and negating helicobacter pylori(HP)(P0.05);however,the quality of life was bettered more strikingly in treatment group than in control group(P0.05,P0.01).Conclusion Chaishaoliujunzi Decoction is quite effective for CAG.
