Clinical observation of Yiqixiaopi decoction on the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis with weakness of the spleen and the stomach type

Objective To study the clinical effect of Yiqixiaopi decoction on the treatment of the chronic atrophic gastritis with the type of deficiency of spleen and stomach.Methods 160 cases of patients with chronic atrophic gastritis with weakness of the spleen and the stomach type were randomly divided into two groups.Patients in treatment group(n=80) were treated by Yiqixiaopi decoction.Patients in control group(n=80) were treated by Moluodan.The therapeutic course was 5 weeks in both groups.The effect was evaluated by two courses.The main clinical symptom,physical sign,the differences of the endoscope examination,the pathohistologic grading,and the integral of the main symptoms were observed before and after the treatment.Results The total effective rate in treatment group(92.5%) was obviously higher than that in control group(77.5%).There was a statistic difference(P0.05).After the treatment,there was a statistical difference(P0.05) in the integral of the main symptoms,except for stomach swelling of expansion.It means that the treatment group is better compared to the control group in the improvement of warm-blooded,reducing diet,belching.Conclusion Yiqixiaopi decoction can significantly improve clinical symptoms,reversal of Helicobacter pylori(Hp) infection,gastric atrophy and other histological grade on the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis with the type of deficiency of spleen and stomach,Yiqixiaopi decoction has a better long term effect on the chronic atrophic gastritis.
