The Survival Significance of Songs and Dances of Tujia Nationality

The colorful folk songs and dances of Tujia nationality contain very profound cultural connotations.In their ethnic development,the ancestors of Tujian nationality have been contending with the nature as well as other nationalities.In this process,their strong desires and actions for survival have been deeply projected in their performances of songs and dances.The writer of this article attempts to study the survival significance of the Tujia songs and dances from the aspects of production,warfare,and praying,the three major events of Tujia nationality,in the hope of attracting more researches in this field.
