Abstract
“Shuashua” is one of the traditional songs and dances of Tujia people,The author believes that it originated from the primitive sacrifice dance, then developed into a mass amusement. It has three social natures, and experiences from the historical change of Shua God,Xileshen,Huadeng to Shuashua, and last it manages to complete its functional change.
