Assessment of the curative effect of Gegen Decoction combined with massage in the treatment of 53 cases of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy

Objective:To observe the curative effect of Gegen Decoction modifying combined with massage in the treatment of 53 cases of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy. Methods:101 cases with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy were randomly divided into two groups. The treated group (n=53) received Gegen Decoction modifying combined with massage,and the control group (n=49) were treated with Celebrex Per Ox combined with massage. All the data were analyzed and evaluations of efficacy were performed at the end of two therapeutic courses. Results:The total effective rate in treatment group was 98.1%,while that in control group was 87.8%.There were significant difference(P 0.01) between the two groups. Conclusion:Combined treatment of Gegen Decoction modifying and massage has significant efficacy in treating patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.It is a superior therapy for conservative treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy in clinic. It is worthy of furthering its widespread use.
