Quality Analysis and Assessment of Hybrid Rice Varieties in Fujian Province during the Year of 2004-2013

Abstract

In this paper, 134 hybrid rice varieties, which were certified and released for commercial production in Fujian province during the year of 2004-2013, were analyzed for their quality. The results showed that the number of variety certification was comparative and the quality was similar during recent years. Nearly 97% of species of head rice rate to reach national standard quality rice standards. However, the main reason of lower head milled rice was higher chalkiness score.
