Abstract

Objective: To observe the curative effect of combination of TCM with western medicine on cerebral hemorrhage.Method: 62 cases of cerebral hemorrhage in acute stage were divided into treatment group and control group randomly.32 cases were in treatment group, and 30 cases were in control group. All the cases in the two groups were treated by dewatering, brain protecting, adjusting blood pressure and blood sugar and maintaining water-electrolyte balance according to patients' conditions. And some cases were handled by Absorb of broken hematoma or external ventricular drainage. On the base of above methods the drugs of dissipating phlegm to unobstruct fu were given to the cases in treatment group.Result: In treatment group 9 cases were recovered,17 cases were excellent,3 cases were effective and 3 cases were ineffective or deteriorated. The total effective rate was 90.62%(95%CI=75.00%-98.05%).In control group 5 cases were recovered,10 cases were excellent,8 cases were effective and 7 cases were ineffective or deteriorated. The total effective rate was 76.67%(95%CI=57.70%-90.05%).There was significant difference between the two groups(u=2.144 2,P=0.032 2).Conclusion: The curative effect of combination of TCM with western medicine on cerebral hemorrhage is better than that of only western medicine,OR=0.34(but 95%CI is over 1),NNT=7(95%CI=3.1-30.1).
