The Curative Effect Observation of Therapy of Combination of TCM with Western Medicine on Angina,A Report of 65 Cases

Objective: To observe the clinical curative effect of therapy of combination of TCM with Western medicine on coronary angina pectoris.Method: 99 cases suffered from coronary angina pectoris were divided into two groups,the treatment group and the control group.65 cases in the treatment group were treated by Modified Decoction of Blood-House Blood Stasis-Dispelling and routine western medicine,and 34 cases in the control group were treated only by western medicine.Result: In the treatment group 26 cases were excellent,35 cases were effective,and 4 cases were ineffective.The total effective rate was 93.8%(95%CI=84.8%-98.3%).In the control group 4 cases were excellent,21 cases were effective,and 9 cases were ineffective.The total effective rate was 73.5%(95%CI=55.6%-87.1%).The difference of curative effect between the two groups was significant(u=3.165 4,P=0.002 6),and the difference of electrocardiogram between the two groups was significant,too(u=2.077 0,P=0.032 1).Conclusion: The curative effect of therapy of combination of TCM with Western medicine on coronary angina pectoris is superior to only western medicine.OR=0.18(95%CI=0.05-0.64),NNT=5(95%CI=2.91-15.85).
